AHA certified BLS
(Basic Life Support)
for Healthcare Providers
The BLS course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills, AED use, and ventilations, in a wide variety od in-facility and prehospital settings.
The BLS course is required for Nurses, CNA's, Physicians, Therapists, etc. It is also required for students in these fields. This course has hands on skills training with new practice manikins that provide feedback on how well you are doing. The lights show that your chest compression timing and depth are correct. AHA's BLS course provides the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. BLS teaches the concepts of high quality CPR, improvement of chest compression fraction, and high performing team dynamics. BLS from the AHA offers the advantages of: interactive video content, representing the latest resusitation science for improved patient outcomes including realistic scenarios, simulations, and animations depicting rescuers, teams, and patients. This course covers the latest AHA science and education for adults, children, and infants. The AHA Chain of Survival for prehospital and in-facility providers. The important early use of an AED and how to use an AED. The importance of teams in multi rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi rescuer CPR. Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants. Upon completion of this course, participant receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider Course Completion Card and is valid for two years. Heartsaver CPR/AED
The Heartsaver course is designed for those that have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency through job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
This course is for teachers, many OSHA jobs child care workers, personal trainers, school employees, babysitters, parents, parents to be, coaches, camp counselors, youth organizations, yoga instructors etc. some jobs also require the additional first aid course. Boat Captains also need the additional paperwork to give to the Coast Guard. Paradise CPR Training will guide you so you take the correct course and have the correct American Heart Associtaion CPR cards for your situation. Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who need a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These course can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. AHA's Heartsaver CPR AED course provides the knowledge and skills that may help save a life. Although much is being done to prevent death from heart problems, cardiac arrest is still one of the leading causes of death in the United States. The skills learned in this course will help you recognize cardiac arrest, get emergency care on the way quickly, and help the person until more advanced care arrives to take over. Heartsaver courses from AHA offer: a cohesive, consistent experience for the learner, best practices to give students the best possible learning experience and help them better retain information, enhanced and realistic scenarios, while providing course and content flexibility. This course covers- Adult CPR and AED use; Opioid-associated Life-threatening Emergencies; Adult Choking; Child CPR and AED use; Child Choking; Infant CPR and Infant Choking. For many Heartsaver courses, students receive an American Heart Association course completion card and is valid for 2 years.
Heartsaver First Aid
Heartsaver First Aid is the course you will need when you need American Heart Assocition First Aid certification, or for anyone wanting to learn basic first aid. This instuctor led course teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. The course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs or want a course completion card in First Aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements, as well as anyone wanting to learn basic First Aid. This is also the additional course that you take if you need to add First Aid to a BLS or Heartsaver course.
